đź’Ś Purposed Women Weekly Devotional: Fight the Good Fight

Theme: Fight the Good Fight

Scripture: “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”

— 1 Timothy 6:12 (NKJV)

Reflection

Faith isn't always going to feel easy.

There will be moments when trusting God requires you to fight against fear, discouragement, distraction, doubt, and the temptation to give up.

Paul tells Timothy, “Fight the good fight of faith.” Not every fight deserves your energy...but your faith does.

Sometimes fighting the good fight looks like continuing to pray when you haven't seen an answer. Sometimes it's obeying God when you don't understand. Sometimes it's choosing God's truth over what your circumstances are telling you.

And sometimes the fight is simply refusing to quit.

Purposed Woman, God has called you to something greater than what you can see in this moment. Don't allow temporary opposition to make you release what God has called you to hold onto.

Keep believing. Keep praying. Keep obeying. Keep showing up.

Your faith is worth fighting for. đź’•

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Give me strength to fight the good fight of faith.

When I become weary, discouraged, or distracted, help me hold tightly to You and what You have spoken.

Give me courage to keep praying, believing, obeying, and walking in the purpose You have called me to.

Help me remain faithful, even when the fight is difficult.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Application

Ask yourself:

“What has been fighting for my faith lately?”

Identify the fear, distraction, disappointment, or doubt that has been pulling you away from what God has spoken.

Then choose one intentional response of faith this week...pray again, open your Bible again, obey what God told you, or take the step you've been afraid to take.

Remember:

You don't have to fight every battle...but you do have to fight to remain faithful.

Don't surrender what God has called you to because the fight became difficult. ✨

Theme: Draw Near With Confidence Scripture: ““Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.” Hebrews 10:19–22 (NKJV) Reflection Have you ever felt like you needed to get...

Theme: Walk in Your Authority Scripture: “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19 NKJV Reflection You can possess authority and still live as though you are powerless. In Luke 10:19, Jesus doesn't tell His disciples to find authority, earn it, or prove themselves worthy of it. He says, “I give you the authority.” It was already theirs because of the One who gave it to them....

Theme: It’s Working Together Scripture: “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” — Romans 8:28 (NKJV) Reflection Some things in life don't look good while you're going through them. The disappointment wasn't good. The delay didn't feel good. The closed door, unexpected change, loss, or season you didn't choose may have left you wondering, “God, how could You possibly use this?” Romans 8:28 doesn't tell us...
