đź’Ś Purposed Women Weekly Devotional: His Word Will Not Return Empty

Theme: His Word Will Not Return Empty

Scripture: “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”

— Isaiah 55:11 (NKJV)

Reflection

Have you ever held on to something God said, but wondered when you would finally see it come to pass?

You prayed. You believed. You stood on His Word. Yet, the circumstances around you seem unchanged.

Isaiah 55:11 reminds us that God’s Word never returns empty.

When God speaks, His Word carries purpose. It is not dependent on what we can see, how we feel, or how quickly things appear to be moving.

But sometimes we become so focused on when God will do something that we forget to trust what He is doing.

His Word may be strengthening you while you wait, correcting your direction, developing your faith, or preparing you for what comes next.

And even when the outcome looks different from what you imagined, God’s Word will accomplish what He sent it to do.

Purposed Woman, you don't have to force the fulfillment of what God has spoken. Your responsibility is to trust Him, remain faithful, and respond in obedience.

What God sends His Word to accomplish, He is faithful to complete. đź’•

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You that Your Word is faithful and never returns empty.

Help me trust what You have spoken, even when I cannot see what You are doing.

Teach me to remain faithful, respond in obedience, and surrender my expectations to Your perfect purpose.

Let Your Word accomplish everything You intend in my life.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Application

Think about a Scripture or truth from God's Word you've been holding on to.

Ask yourself:

“Am I trusting God's Word, or am I measuring its effectiveness by what I can see?”

This week, return to that Scripture. Read it, pray through it, and ask God how He wants you to respond to His Word today.

Remember:

God's Word is never wasted.

Even when you cannot see the results, you can trust that His Word is accomplishing His purpose. ✨

Theme: Draw Near With Confidence Scripture: ““Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.” Hebrews 10:19–22 (NKJV) Reflection Have you ever felt like you needed to get...

Theme: Walk in Your Authority Scripture: “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19 NKJV Reflection You can possess authority and still live as though you are powerless. In Luke 10:19, Jesus doesn't tell His disciples to find authority, earn it, or prove themselves worthy of it. He says, “I give you the authority.” It was already theirs because of the One who gave it to them....

Theme: It’s Working Together Scripture: “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” — Romans 8:28 (NKJV) Reflection Some things in life don't look good while you're going through them. The disappointment wasn't good. The delay didn't feel good. The closed door, unexpected change, loss, or season you didn't choose may have left you wondering, “God, how could You possibly use this?” Romans 8:28 doesn't tell us...
